Bentley's Baby Blessing

June 7, 2015 -- What a special day this was for our family! Bentley was given an amazing blessing from her Dad.  I was so nervous that she would start crying during the blessing or even just get fussy, but she was perfect! My uncle said that she just kept looking around and smiling at all of the men holding her as they bounced her up and down to keep her calm.  I am so grateful for all of the worthy men in our life that were able to be there, as well as all of our family members and friends who came to support.  The love and peace that I felt during that blessing was absolutely amazing!

After the blessing,  all of our family and friends went up to my parents house for some lunch and to hang out.  Having all of this love and support from our family means so much! We are so blessed and so lucky to have so many people in our lives who love our little girl so much.

I absolutely loved her blessing dress! It meant a lot to me because we had it made entirely out of my wedding dress. We still have part of my dress as well that we plan to have put on her baptismal dress.  She looked so beautiful! A perfect little angel straight from Heaven. 

Bentley's Blessing

Dear Heavenly Father, by the authority of the Melchizedek priesthood, we bring this infant before you to give her a name and a blessing. The name which she shall be known as is Bentley Elizabeth Lock. Bentley at this time we bless you with kindness. Kindness that comes from having charity in your heart and having a christlike perspective in life. We bless you that as you go through life you may have a tender heart and have compassion.  That you may find those who need your help and may bless their lives.  We bless you at this time with health, that you may have a functioning immune system and that all of your bodily functions will perform at their proper abilities. We bless you with love.  We hope that in life you will show love to all and be accepting of those who need comfort. We are grateful for you and the many blessings you bring to our lives. We love you so much and we will always be here for you.  We say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
