Zoo Field Trip!

On May 3rd we were able to take our whole Kindergarten to Hogle Zoo for a field trip.  My students have been looking forward to this for months now and the day finally go here.  Every single day leading up to our field trip a student would come into class and say "Are we going to the zoo today?" and I would have to say "nope, not for another 3 weeks!"

We loaded up the bus with 77 little Kindergarteners on Friday morning and made our way there.  They all behaved so well on the bus and were all so excited because for many of them it was their first time ever to get to ride on a bus!

We had plenty of chaperones that were able to come with us which made this a very smooth process.  Everyone got in their groups and did what they wanted for the day! I spent my day walking around and going from group to group! A lot of our groups got together so that they had more kids in a group so they could see all of their friends.  They were all so adorable on our field trip! Being around all my little kiddos at the zoo was amazing! They are all so excited about everything that they see.  They all know that the giraffe is my favorite animal so they all wanted to go see them with me! (And we ALL did)

All in all it was a great day and we didn't run into any problems, thank goodness! I can't wait to do it again next year with our new Kindergarten class!
